The lion and the mouse

Tale: The Iion and the mouse

Once when a Lion was asleep a little Mouse began running up and down upon him; this soon the Lion, who placed his huge upon him, and opened his big to swallow him.

 

"Pardon, O King," cried the little Mouse: "forgive me this time, I shall never forget it: who knows but what I may be able to do you a turn some of these days?"

 

The Lion was so tickled at the idea of the Mouse being able to help him, that he lifted up his paw and let him go.

 

Some time after the Lion was caught in a trap, and the hunters who desired to carry him alive to the King, him to a tree while they went in search of a to carry him on.

 

Just then the little Mouse happened to pass by, and seeing the sad in which the Lion was, went up to him and soon the ropes that the King of the Beasts.

 

"Was I not right?" said the little Mouse.

 

Little friends may prove great friends.

 

Pre-telling

 

On the pre-telling we find the activities to do before the tale. This activities are for the kids comprehension.

 

In the first activity the children need to make a mask with cardboards in pairs, one of them is going to be a mouse and the other the lion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DIDACTIC  OBJECTIVES:  They develop the creativity in pairs.

 

 

Telling

 

On the telling we make questions to the children and we then can know who is lisening to  the story. The questions are intended for kids to participate in the story.

 

They have to tell what is happening in the story with their own words. And the other classmates can ask them questions about the tale.

DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES:  Children practice the vocabulary.

 

Post-telling

 

On the post-telling, the story has already been narrated and we find the activities related to the story.

 

The first activity the children will have to continue with the story in pairs, and make a video with IMovie in their iPads. Example: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DIDACTIC OBJECTIVES: They learn to use new technologies.

 

The second activity, once they are finished with the videos, we will watch them all and we will talk about all the stories.
